Private Middle School & High School Coaching

Monthly private coaching gives high school distance runners a fully customized, constantly updated training plan plus daily access to a former NCAA Division 1 coach for support, feedback, and college recruiting guidance. It is built to fit around school, racing, and life so athletes can stay healthy, improve consistently, and run their best when it matters most.

Who this is for

  • Middle and high school cross country and track distance runners who want more than a generic team plan.

  • Athletes aiming to make varsity, qualify for postseason meets, or prepare for college running and the recruiting process.

  • Runners who value close communication, detailed feedback, and a long-term approach to progress and injury prevention.

How the training works

  • Training is updated every 1–2 weeks to match race schedules, school demands, travel, and recovery needs so the athlete is never stuck on an outdated plan.

  • Every workout is written specifically for the athlete’s current fitness, strengths, and goals, not copied from a template or generic schedule.

  • Benchmark tests and race efforts are used to dial in pacing so key workouts are always at the right intensity for progress, not burnout.

Daily coaching and communication

  • Athletes have access to text coach for day of workouts and race day assistance.

  • Monday–Friday, athletes receive consistent feedback after main sessions so they know what went well, what to adjust, and how to improve next time.

  • Questions and adjustment requests are answered within 24 hours through TrainingPeaks, with email available for longer discussions and text for time‑sensitive updates like weather or last‑minute race changes.

  • Plans can be revised anytime for exams, sickness, family trips, or other schedule changes so training supports school and life instead of competing with them.

Data, tools, and analysis

  • Full access to advanced TrainingPeaks tools is included in the monthly fee, allowing detailed tracking of workouts, trends in fitness and fatigue, and long‑term progress.

  • Race files and key workouts are reviewed to identify strengths, limiters, and specific opportunities for improvement across the season and into the next.

  • Every session is analyzed so quick responders and late adapters alike have paces and targets adjusted as they develop.

Experience and college guidance

  • Coaching is led by a former NCAA Division 1 head coach and athlete, bringing high‑level training standards and real‑world experience from collegiate cross country and track.

  • Athletes gain access to insider insight on what college coaches look for, plus guidance through the entire recruiting process—from building a resume to communicating with programs.

  • The goal is not just faster times, but helping each runner grow in confidence, durability, and readiness for the next level of competition.
